Thank you for your support in November! I’m excited about the opportunity to serve as your mayor. I would like to tell you a little bit about what Farmersville Council and I have planned, but first I want to tell you a little about me, in case we have not yet met.

My wife, Audra, and I have three boys. Miles is nine, Holden is seven and our youngest, Spencer, is 7 months. We have lived in Farmersville since 2007. This community has been a great place for us to raise our kids and meet many new friends. I’m a small business owner and that experience has helped me see things from a specific perspective that has helped me make decisions during my time as a Farmersville Council member.

Although Farmersville is a small community, there are several residents that I have not met. I would love for the opportunity to get to know each of you. It’s important to me and Council to know what concerns you in the village and what opportunities interest you. I’d love to hear your vision for our community.

Please visit us at a council meeting or introduce yourself when we see each other out and about in Farmersville. Or, send me an email and we’ll schedule a time to meet.

Many of you probably know that Farmersville has several committees made up of Council members and residents. These particular committees that include residents are Planning, Zoning, Personnel, and Water Review. In addition to these existing committees, I’m excited to add a new committee focused on the community. The purpose of this committee is to highlight, help and enhance Farmersville. We’ll highlight local accomplishments of individuals, businesses, churches and other organizations and institutions. We’ll have a team led by a long-time Farmersville resident to help homeowners with projects on the exterior of their homes. Farmersville will not provide any materials, but we will provide places to sign up for assistance and our committee will organize the zero-cost labor efforts.

Finally, this committee will brainstorm ideas to enhance our village. If you have ideas about this committee or would like to be part of it, please send me an email.

Council and I would like to invite you to join any and all of our Council Meetings. We meet on the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 PM at 117 E. Walnut Street. This is a great opportunity to get involved and be in the know in the community you live in. I hope to see you there!
