The Village of Farmersville is seeking qualified electors who would be interested in serving as Council members. There are three Council member positions that will become vacant on January 1, 2016. One position would fill the remainder of Mr. Weller’s term which expires on December 31, 2017 and the two other positions are for four year terms and would expire on December 31, 2019. The Village is governed by a Mayor and six (6) Council members, all elected at large. A Village Administrator supervises the daily operation of the village government, as well as the water, sewer and street departments. The Village Council meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Farmersville Municipal Building, 117 E. Walnut Street. All meetings are open to the public. Applicants are to submit a letter of interest (explaining their reasons and qualifications for desiring the appointment) and a resume to the Village Office at 117 E. Walnut Street, Farmersville, Ohio by December 30, 2015.
